Lhasa Overland Tour (08 Days/07 Nights) Fly-in/Drive-out

This is going to be a great opportunity for you all to visit the world famous attractions of Tibet (including Potala palace of Dalai Lama, Gyantse, Sightse and other interesting sights). Kathmandu to Lhasa considered one of the best picturesque highways in the world to drive, come join us for this special itinerary. It is so special price just USD 1525 per person for whole trip of 8 days including flight, entrance fee, tour and visa. Following will be the itinerary, costs and services.

Day    Description

Day 01
FLY FROM KATHMANDU (1300m) TO LHASA (3650m) - Fly to Lhasa by Air China CA408 flight. Reception at airport, and transfer to Hotel, rest day.

Day 02
SIGHTSEEING IN LHASA - Full day sightseeing of Lhasa ( Potala, Jokhang etc) O / N Hotel

Day 03
SIGHTSEEING IN LHASA - Full day sightseeing of Lhasa ( Sera, Deraphung and Norbulinka etc), O / N Hotel

Day 04
LHASA -GYANTSE - Full day picturesque drive along the turquoise lake Yamadrok, crossing over Kampala Pass (4794M) and the Brahma Putra river (Yarlung Tsangpo). O / N Hotel

Day 05
GYANTSE (3950m) - SHIGATSE, 90km - Morning sightseeing to the Kumbum Stupa and Palkor Monastery, two hours drive through the Tibet's biggest Agricultural field to Xigatse, sight seeing at Panchen Lama's Tashilumpu Monastery. O / N Hotel

Day 06
SHIGATSE – SHEGAR, 244km - Scenic drive through the highest point, Gyatchu La pass (5,220m) en route. Overnight in Hotel / Guest house.

Day 07
SHEGAR – ZHANGMU - a drive to the highest plateau of the world with typical landscape offering the sheer feeling of being on the roof of the world crossing over the 5,050 meters LALUNGA pass, from where you can view the breathtaking mountain range from Mt.Cho Oyu (8,201m) Mt.Xishapagma (8,012m) dwarfed by the vastness of Tibetan plateau (if weather permits) and Overnight in Sherpa Guest House.

Day 08
ZHANGMU (TIBET) – KATMANDU (NEPAL) - Drive down hill to the Nepal-Tibet border and after immigration formalities drive 04/05 hours drive through the beautiful Nepali country side
